MSNBC host Dylan Ratigan — who angrily stated that “Congress is bought” in August — has launched a petition calling for a constitutional amendment to prohibit campaign contributions to political candidates. On Tuesday, he discussed the campaign with his fellow MSNBC host, Martin Bashir.

“There is a single statistic that I think is the only statistic that you need to understand about money and politics in America,” he said. “If I know who raised more money, without knowing anything else, 94 percent of the time I will pick the winner.”
