On Friday evening, Countdown host Keith Olbermann interviewed Yetta Kurland, the attorney for fellow Legal Guild lawyer Ari Douglas who was run over by an NYPD cop on a moving vehicle earlier in the day.

Kurland revealed that she had not been able to talk to incarcerated Douglas yet, who was flogged by police immediately after untangling his foot from the vehicle. When Olbermann mentioned the police’s account of Douglas throwing himself to the ground and purposely putting his foot under the vehicle, Kurland described the events from the video not indicating the NYPD’s account of the event.

After failing to find any scenario where Douglas could be at fault, Olbermann said, “We probably exhausted the absurdity of this.”
