In his weekly appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe to discuss U.S. foreign policy, Dr. Zbigniew Brzezinski took a big swing at the Republican presidential field on Tuesday morning.

In almost similar fashion to host Joe Scarborough calling the candidates “idiots” the previous day, the former national security adviser to then President Jimmy Carter labeled them in the same field as Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert.

“Unfortunately, we’re now in the midst of an irrational campaign domestically,” Brzezinski said. “We spend the last hours analyzing those comics on the Republican side. It’s a dilemma.”

Scarborough replied: “I think it’s more than a dilemma.”
