On last night’s “Countdown”, Keith interviewed Iraq War veteran Keith Shannon, the roommate of “Occupy Oakland” protester Scott Olsen, who was injured Wednesday when police attacked the crowd of protesters with tear gas, stun grenades, and rubber bullets. Olsen was struck in the head by a tear-gas canister. His skull has been fractured and doctors have placed him in a medically-induced coma to ease the swelling in his brain.

Shannon says that Olsen is in “stable but critical” condition and that the attack by police has only strengthened his resolve to protest and participate in the “Occupy Wall Street” movement.
