On last night’s “Daily Show”, Jon Stewart examined the ever-evolving story of what Herman Cain remembers about the sexual harassment charges that were purportedly leveled against him when he was the director of the National Restaurant Association. Perhaps, Stewart suggests, the trauma of the alleged harassment has caused Mr. Cain to repress the memories of the incidents and they are only now gradually returning to him, in which case his therapist must be very proud of the breakthroughs he’s making.
