In a bizarre confrontation between filmmaker Michael Moore and a local TV reporter in Denver, Moore denied rumors that he was worth $50 million, called the reporter a “punk,” and repeatedly accused him of lying.

Moore was in Denver Thursday for a book signing and to participate with Occupy protesters there. As he marched with the crowd, local CBS reporter Evrod Cassimy approached him and began asking how he was using his money to help the protesters.

“How are you helping these people with your $50 million?” Cassimy asked.

“That’s what its rumored you’re worth,” he added.

“Is that what you do is sell rumors?” Moore responded, placing a hand on Cassimy’s shoulder. “You’re just punk media is all you are. You lie. You lie to people. Stop lying to people. Stop lying.”
