In this video, Reuters reports that two tons of marijuana were found floating in the ocean off the coast of Los Cabos, a popular tourist destination in Mexico. It took Mexican marines two days to retrieve all of the bales of pot, which are believed to have been dumped by drug cartels.

Mexican President Felipe Calderon attempted to crack down on the country’s illegal drug trade in 2006, but since then violence has spiraled out of control. Drug-related violence has killed an estimated 45,000 people in Mexico so far.
