WASHINGTON — A 21-year-old man was arrested in Pennsylvania on Wednesday in connection with a shooting in which a White House window was struck by a bullet, the US Secret Service said.
Oscar Ortega-Hernandez was arrested by state police at a hotel near Indiana, Pennsylvania, the Secret Service special agent in charge, Edwin Donovan, said.

“On Wednesday afternoon at approximately 12:35 pm (1735 GMT), based on information generated by Secret Service agents from the Pittsburgh Field Office, Pennsylvania State Police Troop A located and arrested Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez at a hotel near Indiana, Pennsylvania,” Donovan said in a statement.

“Ortega-Hernandez is currently in the custody of the Pennsylvania State Police,” it said.
Earlier, Donovan said Ortega-Hernandez was being sought after gunshots were heard Friday night near the White House.

A bullet was found Monday impacted in the ballistic glass of an exterior window of the White House, and a second bullet was found outside the US presidential residence.

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama were outside Washington at the time.
