Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) appeared on CBS’ Face The Nation Sunday morning, explaining why exactly she wouldn’t attend the December 27th Newsmax debate moderated by Donald Trump.

Host Bob Schieffer asked Bachmann if she hurt The Apprentice host feelings for declining to attend.

“Donald Trump is a big boy, these things happen,” she said. “Clearly, there’s an attempt to have a debate, and no one was taking the bait to come to this debate. And at a certain point, it didn’t make any sense for me to go to it either.”

Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum are still the only presidential candidates saying they would attend the Newsmax debate.
