Naked man dies fleeing from ambulance on CA highway

A naked man began was struck and killed on a California highway Friday as he fled from the back of an ambulance, according to the Assoicated Press. The California Highway patrol says the man became agitated and began acting erratically in the ambulance, which was traveling north on Interstate 5 in Tustin, California.

The victim exited the vehicle and leapt over the highway’s dividing wall and into southbound traffic, but made it safely across. An off-duty deputy attempted to subdue him on a side road connected to the highway, but he broke free and ran into the path of a pickup truck, which struck and killed him.

The man’s name has not been released.
