Seven people have been found dead after being shot in a Texas apartment on Christmas day, according to the Associated Press.

Police in Grapevine believe that the shooter is among those dead, although a motive for the incident is unclear. Four woman and three men, from ages 18 to 60, were found in the apartment’s living room after police received a 911 call with no one on the line.

The family was reportedly cleaning up holiday wrapping paper when a man dressed as Santa Claus fired shots.

“It appears they had just celebrated Christmas,” Grapevine Police Sgt. Robert Eberling said, who located two handguns near the bodies. “They had opened their gifts.”
