Newt Gingrich appeared today on CNN’s The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer to discuss his campaign’s mishandling of the Virginia primary as well as to discuss disparaging remarks that Mitt Romney made about Gingrich earlier today.

Romney was at a campaign stop when he was questioned about the Gingrich campaign’s failure to get enough signatures to appear on the Virginia ballot. The former Massachusetts governor alluded to Gingrich’s assertion that the Virginia debacle was like the Japanese attack on Pear Harbor. Romney said, “It’s more like Lucille Ball at the chocolate factory.”

There are phrases in life one never expects to say, and “Romney: Zing!” is one of them.
