The search for an Indiana girl has come to a tragic end.

Court documents say Michael L. Plumadore, 39, admitted to beating 9-year-old Aliahna Lemmon to death with a brick, dismembering her body and storing some of the parts in his freezer.

Plumadore said that he repeatedly struck Lemmon with brick on the front steps of his home in the early morning hours of Dec. 22. He then placed the body in a trash bag until that evening when he used a hacksaw to remove her head, hands and feet, according to an affidavit.

Plumadore stored some of the dismembered body parts in his freezer and the rest was discarded in a commercial trash bin.

The search for Lemmon had focused on the 15 registered sex offenders who live in the same trailer park where Plumadore had been babysitting for the girl.
