‘Occupy the Caucus’ protesters arrested at Wells Fargo bank in Iowa

Three people affiliated with the “Occupy Wall Street” movement were arrested at a Wells Fargo branch in Des Moines, Iowa on Wednesday, according to the Associated Press.

The protesters said they targeted Wells Fargo because the bank gave $61,500 to Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign.

“Wells Fargo along with other banks are buying our democracy,” one of the arrested protesters told reporters. “They’re buying our politicians.”

Another seven protesters were arrested at Romney’s campaign headquarters in the early caucus state of Iowa. All the arrests were peaceful, according to police.

Fearing disruption from the local “Occupy the Caucus” protests, Iowa Republicans plan to count this year’s caucus results at an undisclosed location.
