A member of the U.S. military has been charged with trying to go through a security checkpoint with explosives at an airport in Texas Saturday morning.

According to the Associated Press, 30-year-old Trey Scott Atwater was arrested at Midland International Airport for placing explosives in a military-grade wrapping. He was latter charged at Midland County jail and will remain in custody until his arraignment on Tuesday.

An FBI spokesperson said that Atwater was with his family visiting relatives and was scheduled to return to his base in North Carolina. It was unknown how many explosives were in Atwater’s bag or if he was in uniform during the arrest.
