According to Stephen Colbert, you can tell that things are looking up for former Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) when “the most influential voice of the 19th century, George Will” is writing Op Ed columns calling him the “fun candidate” in the GOP race for the 2012 presidential nomination.

Colbert quotes Will as saying that for many Republicans, supporting former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney is “like a duty,” whereas supporting Santorum “feels like a lark” because Republicans secretly “crave fun.”

And as Colbert points out, no one knows fun like a man in a bow-tie, because a bow-tie is just a regular tie throwing gang signs.
