Satirical presidential candidate and activist Vermin Supreme got knocked around for trying to greet Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum on Monday.

“At first, I believe, it was his goons who were shoving me out as I was trying to get in to shake Mr. Santorum’s hand and wish him well,” Supreme explained on a video uploaded to YouTube. “And then it was the police. I’m not sure where it changed from the civilian Santorum supporters to the police. But then I was shoved and backed off, you know way over there, by the cop who said, ‘You are safe here.’”

Supreme, who has proclaimed himself “a tyrant you can trust,” said he didn’t mind the physical confrontation, brushing it off as politics-as-usual.

His 2012 platform consists of zombie preparedness and a pony for each American.

In addition to running for various political positions throughout the years, Supreme has been active in the “Occupy Boston” protests and has glitter bombed anti-abortion activist Randall Terry.

He typically wears a giant boot over his head.
