Jon Stewart noted Tuesday evening that the 2012 presidential election may bring a unique matchup.
Based on the results from the nine person town of Dixville Notch, New Hampshire, President Barack Obama received more votes than any of the GOP candidates in their primary.
Since The Daily Show was taped before the final overall New Hampshire results, Stewart decided he had enough to make a projection.
“It appears the winner of the New Hampshire Republican primary tonight is Barack Obama,” he said.
“And if this trend continues, we do project now that Barack Obama will be the Republican nominee to square off against President Barack Obama.”
