Thursday night on The Colbert Report, Stephen recounted some of the turbulence currently roiling the GOP presidential field.

In Iowa, state Republicans are reporting that Rick Santorum actually won the caucus there, robbing Mitt Romney of the chance to score a record three wins if he take South Carolina this weekend. Texas governor Rick Perry dropped out of the race, which should, Colbert said, leave Gingrich feeling like Leonardo DiCaprio in the movie “Titanic,” i.e., “king of the world.”

The iceberg in Colbert’s metaphor would, of course, be Gingrich’s second wife Marianne, who spoke to ABC News recently. The interview, which aired on Thursday night, included allegations that the former Speaker of the House asked his then-wife for an “open marriage.”

And finally Stephen details the attacks made against him by his own super PAC in an effort to show that he and the committee are not coordinating.
