Colbert: ‘Gingrich would totally win a wet t-shirt contest’

Stephen Colbert summed up his feelings Tuesday evening on the latest GOP debate in two words: “Who cares?”

“It was a dud, total dud,” he said. “The candidates did not attack each other, thanks to Saturday Night Live host and part time news anchor Brian Williams.”

Colbert was visibly upset over how Monday night’s debate requested for the audience to remain silent during candidate’s answers.

“The applause and the cheering is how you know who won,” he said. “Debates should be like a wet t-shirt contest.”

“By the way, Newt Gingrich would totally win a wet t-shirt contest.”
