As Gawker noted last week, Ann Romney’s father, Edward Davies –a scientist and engineer who worked on NASA’s early space program– died a “resolute atheist who insisted that his family be raised without participating in an organized religion.” But that didn’t stop GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney from having his father-in-law baptized posthumously in the Mormon faith.

Capping off an epic rant disputing the notion that “Atheism is a religion,” Real Time host Bill Maher donned a wizard’s hat and waved a wand over a photo of Davies, pronouncing him “unbaptized.”

“By the power granted to me by the Blair Witch, I call upon the Mormon spirits to leave your body the fuck alone,” Maher said.
