On his show Monday night, Current TV host Keith Olbermann lampooned Rep. John Fleming (R-LA) for mistaking an article from the satirical news outlet The Onion for real news.

Fleming or his staff posted a link to the article, titled “Planned Parenthood Opens $8 Billion Abortionplex,” on the conservative congressman’s Facebook page.

The link was deleted off his page after commenters noted it was fake.

The satirical article made a number of outrageous claims, such as Planned Parenthood changing its slogan to “No Life Is Sacred” and the new Abortionplex having its own three-story nightclub.

“That’s from The Onion, I knew there was something wrong there. The Onion is a satire site. That is what you or I would have said. But not Congressman Fleming of Louisiana,” Olbermann said.

“He posted the article on his Facebook page, complete with the comment, ‘More on Planned Parenthood abortion by the wholesale.’”
