Jon Stewart laments ‘never-ending gobstopper’ GOP primary

On his show Wednesday night, Daily Show host Jon Stewart compared the Republican presidential primary to Zeno’s paradox, claiming candidates could never actually arrive at the endpoint.

“All I heard was that Tuesday was Super Tuesday,” he said, “because we would finally have a decisive night, one that would finally finish this never-ending gobstopper. Tell us finally once and for all where Carmen San Diego is.”

“It is like the Republican nominee for president is being selected at this point by erosion.”

Like he did last week, Stewart lampooned CNN, which was forced to kill time on air while they waited for the Ohio primary votes to be counted.
