Sanity Break: George Takei does his ‘happy dance’
Former Star Trek actor George Takei has become something of a cultural institution since he came out of the closet a few years ago and began his “It’s Okay to be Takei” campaign. Currently, he is raising funds to bring “Allegiance,” a musical about the internment of Japanese Americans in World War Two, to Broadway.
To celebrate the campaign’s arrival at the $150,000 mark, Takei has posted a video of himself doing what he calls his “Happy Dance,” with the “reluctant permission” of his husband Brad who can be seen glowering off-camera. You can watch the video, embedded via YouTube, below.
