A Colorado man has admitted to police that he “snapped” and hit his two-month-old son with “basically everything I could throw,” fracturing the infant’s skull.

An affidavit obtained by KRDO shows that Daniel Kim, 22, said he punched his son, Ezra, “pretty hard” after he woke up to hear crying.

Kim recalled that afterward, Ezra began crying at a lower pitch and lost some use of his right arm. The father reacted by applying ice to his son’s head.

Ezra’s mother, Brittany Johnson, returned from work around noon and took the boy to urgent care after she “found bruising on both cheeks, a soft, flat spot on the right side of his head and the baby’s right arm not moving,” according to The Gazette.

The child, who suffered a skull fracture, was reportedly in stable condition after being taken to Memorial Hospital.

Kim is facing charges of child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury. He is being held at the El Paso County jail with bond set at $25,000.
