After returning from his vacation on Monday night, Daily Show host Jon Stewart took on the controversy surrounding the tragic shooting of Florida teen Trayvon Martin.

Although Stewart had hoped to fill his segment with inevitable Dick Cheney heart transplant jokes, he could not avoid the Trayvon Martin story.

“I feel like Florida and Arizona are locked in a harms race,” he joked, in reference to Florida’s contentious “Stand your ground” law.

Stewart then turned his attention to the “Million Hoodie March” in solidarity with Martin.

“It’s an effective and moving gesture when practiced by ordinary citizens or the Miama Heat basketball team, not so much from these guys,” he said, cutting to a clip of an MSNBC host donning a hoodie. “Yes, give the people of cable news an excuse to join in a story and voila.”

Stewart then unveiled the latest Daily Show game: Jedi or Sith Lord.
