A 5,500 pound elephant, named Baby, escaped from his circus handlers and wandered around a parking lot in Ireland on Tuesday.

Two circus employees tried to get the animal under control, but the 40-year-old pachyderm refused to cooperate, according to the Irish Times.

After making his way through the parking lot, Baby broke through a barrier and headed towards Blackpool Shopping Centre. Handlers eventually got him under control at a traffic light and led him back to the circus.
