Laura Bassett, political reporter for The Huffington Post, said Monday that an attack on a Planned Parenthood clinic in Wisconsin on Sunday night was “absolutely” domestic terrorism.

“These people are calling themselves pro-life, and I can’t think of anything less pro-life than putting a bomb outside of a health clinic,” she said on The Young Turks.

Bassett also noted that Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum, who is currently campaigning in Wisconsin, condemned Planned Parenthood in a statement denouncing the attack.

“Like with the Rush Limbaugh controversy, I think there are a lot more that conservatives, particularly pro-life conservatives, could be doing to calm their base down,” she said. “Unfortunately, they’re doing the opposite.”

Police are still looking for whoever left the device, which exploded around 7:30 p.m. and caused little damage to the building. Nobody was injured.

Another clinic in the Dallas area was attacked in a similar manner by a separate person last July.
