On Tuesday morning’s “Today Show,” former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin (R) appeared determined to play the good sport. For her debut moment, the mother of six appeared hidden behind a pile of newspapers, a joking reference to Matt Lauer’s question yesterday during a pre-appearance chat, asking whether the governor had been reading lots of newspapers to prepare.

In an interview with Katie Couric in 2008, Palin was asked where she gets her news and what newspapers she reads, a question that seemed to stymie the then-Vice Presidential candidate, who infamously replied, “All of them.”

In the segment below, embedded via MSNBC, “Today Show” host Matt Lauer welcomed Gov. Palin and reminded her that by joining him in hosting the eight o’clock hour, she was technically becoming a part of “the lamestream media.”
