Colbert Report takes on Florida’s manatee mailbox massacre

The idyllic town of Cocoa, Florida may seem like a peaceful place, but lurking there between the palm fronds is a violent criminal. Someone is blowing up the manatee mailboxes of this otherwise pleasant, peaceful Florida town.

On Thursday’s “The Colbert Report,” host Stephen Colbert turned a penetrating investigative eye to this story on his new segment, “Colbert’s Very Wanted.” The team examined to case in Cocoa and, with the help of the SVU, “Sea-Cow Victims’ Unit,” began to piece together what looks like a larger, more disturbing trend of state-wide violence against these seemingly benign works of timeless yard art.
