This afternoon, I spoke briefly with James Coomarasamy of BBC World Service about the implications of “The Talk,” in the wake of the killing of Trayvon Martin and the racialization of his murder, as well as the insidious and casual racism of people like John Derbyshire, and those who would defend him.
