A community in England received quite the scare with its Easter egg hunt this past weekend, where a three-year-boy was standing on top of an egg shaped hand grenade.

According to The Daily Mail, the hand grenade was spotted by Stuart Moffat, a father of three, who alerted the pre-school group organizing the event Saturday in Holford, Somerset about his shocking finding.

“We were beginning to count up the eggs at the end of the hunt and I saw a boy of three standing on an object,” Moffat told The Mail. “It was brown and about 4 inches high. It looked like an Easter egg, but it was a hand grenade. I was shocked. The boy who was standing on it thought it was a rock.”

Police called in a bomb squad, who later destroyed the grenade. It is believed that the grenade was a relic from World War II.
The boy was not indetified by police.
