First Lady Michelle Obama was the featured guest on Wednesday night’s episode of “The Colbert Report.” Host Stephen Colbert asked Obama about her work with Joining Forces, a support group for military families, and the importance of hiring veterans.
“These people,” she said of veterans, “are some of the most highly trained, highly skilled, disciplined people we have in our society, the best America has to offer, so we all need to do our part.”
The First Lady also discussed the national anti-obesity initiative she founded, “Let’s Move,” and officially announced her endorsement of her husband, President Barack Obama, for the presidency in 2012.
