Daily Show host Jon Stewart on Thursday night mocked the media’s response to charges being filed against George Zimmerman, who claims to have shot and killed Florida teen Trayvon Martin in self-defense.

On Wednesday, Florida state attorney general Angela Corey announced that Zimmerman would face second-degree murder charges for the death Martin.

Martin’s family and Zimmerman’s attorney responses were “calm, rational, and heart-felt,” Stewart said. He then played a montage of hyperbolic reactions in the national media, to point out the contrast.

“Do I think there’ll be a not guilty verdict? I don’t know,” Nancy Grace said at the end of the clip. “After ‘Tot Mom,’ frankly, the place is up for grabs.”

“And let me tell you this,” Stewart mockingly said. “I know in my heart that the 2006 Duke lacrosse team is involved in this somehow. I don’t know how, but I’m going to find out.”
