Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh on Monday blasted Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-FL) as someone who supports “murdering women before they’re born” after she recently claimed that the Republican “war on women” was real.

In an op-ed for Politico over the weekend, the Democratic senator wrote that “Republicans have launched a war on women.”

“The facts are the facts,” she explained, citing GOP opposition to contraception coverage, efforts to repeal equal pay laws and criminalize abortion. “Despite all the denials, women get it — and so do the men who care about them.”

Limbaugh on Monday complained that Boxer “did not get the memo” about the war on women being over.

“In the op-ed, Boxer claimed that the Republicans had been relentlessly trying to restrict women’s health care,” Limbaugh said. “By which, Boxer means murdering women before they are born.”

“Sounds like a war on women to me,” the radio host opined. “That’s what the real war on women is, is abortion by the way. If you want to speak bluntly, if you want to speak openly, the real war on women is abortion. And we know of the two political parties which one really gets behind that and has made it a political issue. Do we not?”
