A reporter interviewing Beaver County Sheriff George David in Pennsylvania claims that the sheriff pointed a gun at him and threatened to take his life.

John Paul, founder of the Beaver Countian, interviewed the sheriff on Monday concerning financial issues. Two other sheriff’s deputies were also in the office for the interview.

During the interview, the sheriff pulled out his gun and began waving it around, according to Paul. He also allegedly threatened to kill Beaver County Times reporter J.D. Prose and the Beaver County Prothonotary Nancy Werme, who were both absent.

After the interview, Paul filed a report with the police department.

Sheriff David has denied the accusations against him. The two deputies present during the interview also said Paul was never threatened.

State police are investigating the reporter’s claim.
