A Fox News host who joked that women have all the rights the need because they can shop got a two-word response from The Young Turks co-host Ana Kasparian on Tuesday: “Fuck you!”

Fox News co-host Greg Gutfeld on Friday ranted against the National Organization for Women (NOW) because they organized a boycott of Rush Limbaugh after he called a Georgetown University law student a “slut,” but they had not protested HBO comedian Bill Maher or CNN contributor Hilary Rosen for their remarks about conservative women.

“The only people that are in NOW are the people who work in NOW,” Gutfeld argued. “There are more women in NASCAR than NOW.”

“Perhaps they are a victim of their own success,” he added. “There not as relevant as they are anymore because, for example, women have all the rights, you know, they can shop.”

Kasparian responded during on online segment of the The Young Turks on Tuesday.

“I love that,” she quipped. “Women have all the rights they need. They go shopping. I’m going to make an argument that misogyny doesn’t exist — that women have all the rights that they want — by making a sexist comment about them.”

“Fuck You!” Kasparian exclaimed. “That’s just what Fox News is. They hire clowns to make clownish arguments.”

“You know that he’s partly tongue-in-cheek,” co-host Cenk Uygur pointed out. “Except that they’re not because the policies that they advocate are against women. You know, they’re not for equal pay, for example — let alone the reproductive rights, etc., etc.”

“The only decent point he had — you can make a conservative argument for NOW has outlived its usefulness because they were so successful in the past that women do have equality of opportunity, etc., etc. That’s a conservative argument you can make on Fox News that has no problem. Agree or disagree, at least it’s a legitimate argument.”

According to NOW’s website, the organization currently has “more than 500,000 contributing members” and more than 500 local chapters and affiliates.
