Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) acknowledges that his chances of winning the Republican presidential primary over Mitt Romney are all but gone. That however isn’t stopping him from gaining more delegates, nor his supporters from becoming prominent figures in states’ Republican outlets.
The congressman won a majority of Maine’s 24 delegates Saturday evening, according to NBC Politics. Paul’s supporters took control of the Maine Republican Convention to pledge their support of their candidate at the party’s convention in Tampa, Florida.
Romney won the Maine Republican Caucuses in February, but those results were non-binding. Due to a snowstorm, many voters were unable to cast a ballot.
