Former Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean had to cut a radio interview short on Wednesday after the car he was riding in got in an accident in Montreal.

“What it means is instead of discussing geographic boundaries and drawing lines,” Dean said before he was interrupted by a loud thud.

“We just got hit by a car. Sorry. I’m going to have to say goodbye,” Dean said, distressed.

“Are you OK?” the radio host asked.

“Yes, everybody’s fine,” Dean said and hung up.

About twenty minutes later, Dean called the Canadian radio station back and finished the interview.
