Jay Smooth decries ‘slut-shaming by association’ of Michelle Obama

First Lady Michelle Obama surprised observers this week when she answered a question from People Magazine about who she would be if she could be anyone in the world by replaying, “Beyonce.”

Loop21 lit into Obama for her remark, claiming that even the comments on African-American websites found it”embarrassing,” apparently because Beyonce is not regarded as an ideal role model for young women compared to, say, Michelle Obama.

However, Jay Smooth quickly came to Obama’s defense in a video titled “Leave Michelle Obama Alone with Your Random-Ass Opinions,” that debunks the “fake controversy” over her remark.

“It’s really unfair to do this weird slut-shaming thing on Beyonce,” he complained. “That’s not right. And number three, it’s really, really unfair to do some kind of slut-shaming by association on Michelle Obama.”

“There are so many better targets,” he concluded. “Donald Trump was in the news this week. You could throw anything at him and he deserves it.”
