Fox & Friends co-host Gretchen Carlson walked off the show’s set on Thursday morning after her co-host Brian Kilmeade made a sexist comment.

The comment came after Fox & Friends‘ Steve Doocy finished an interview with the Navy Sea Chanters, which had been all-male until 1980.

“Women are everywhere,” Kilmeade said. “We’re letting them play golf and tennis now. It’s out of control.”

“You know what?” Carlson said as she stood up and walked away. “You know what? You read the headlines, since men are so great. Go ahead.”

“All right. Finally,” Kilmeade responded. “An all male crew.”

As Carlson walked off camera, she appeared to be smiling and had a friendly tone, leaving some to speculate that the event was staged. But others believe she was merely masking her anger.
