New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie — a Republican known for not mincing his words — on Saturday ripped a reporter who asked him an off-topic question.

“Did I say on topic? Are you stupid? On topic, on topic. Next question,” Christie angrily said at a press conference.

The governor was at a water treatment plant in Monmouth County and had told reporters he would only answer questions about the facility.

“Next question?” Christie continued. “Good. Thank you all very much, and I’m sorry for the idiot over there. Take care.”

The governor often becomes abrasive when upset. In March, he called a former Navy SEAL an “idiot” for interrupting him. In February, he said billionaire investor Warren Buffet should just “shut up” about taxing the rich. He has also called Assemblywoman Valerie Vainieri Huttle a jerk, said Assemblyman Reed Gusciora was a “numbnuts,” and described the state’s teachers union as “political thugs.”
