Dubbing it “London Galling,” Jon Stewart reviewed Mitt Romney’s awkward weekend in London on The Daily Show Monday, starting with Romney’s infamous interview with NBC’s Brian Williams where he said some things were “disconcerting” about the city’s preparations for the Olympic Games.

“This is no time to display your sophisticated knowledge of the inside workings of Olympic preparation,” Stewart said. “You’re a guest at a dinner party that’s already started.”

Stewart then reviewed the blowback to Romney’s remarks in various newspapers, criticism that would also lead to harsh remarks from London mayor Boris Johnson and British prime minister David Cameron, who said putting the Games on in London isn’t as easy as hosting them “in the middle of nowhere,” a potshot at Romney’s experience running the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.

Donning a green-screened bonnet, though, Stewart stood up for Utah.

“Sorry I didn’t get back to insulting you earlier,” Stewart said. “We were too busy taking salt out of our huge lake so that our food doesn’t taste like shit.”
