A woman from Marion County, Florida refused to stop for police who tried to pull her over for speeding because she claimed she removed her top to impress her boyfriend.
Mandy Ramsey was arrested Saturday by police who said she was going 71 miles per hour 55 mile-per-hour zone. Police signaled for her to pull over, but instead she sped away, running a stop sign and hitting a tree before escaping. Police used a helicopter to finally track her to her home. When authorities knocked, she said she was topless.
According to WKMG, her boyfriend, identifying himself as James Woodward, was not impressed. “She did something stupid trying to impress me, that’s all it was,” he told reporters outside his home.
Ramsey now faces felony charges for evading arrest, charges that likely would have been a misdemeanor for speeding and indecent exposure. She was released on a $5,000 bond, according to Ocala.
