Both the semi-finals and finals in women’s soccer required careful avoidance of spoilers in the afternoon, so that we could watch the game on replay in the evening. Hard, but worth it; the semi-final against Canada on Monday is already being hailed as a classic game. Last night’s game couldn’t compete, of course, but it was still enjoyable though I felt the Americans whiffed a couple of great goal opportunities. But we won, and it felt great, especially since it was a rematch with the team that beat us in the World Cup. So, go ladies!

Time to celebrate with a Panda Party! Come bring your favorite tunes and a eye towards a fun weekend. By the way, how funny was it watching the American coach hop up and down singing “Born in the USA”?
