Shock rockers Insane Clown Posse to sue FBI

Shock rock group Insane Clown Posse said Friday that it plans to sue the Federal Bureau of Investigation after the law enforcement agency issued a report last year that labeled their fans, better known as “Juggalos,” as a loosely organized criminal gang.

“We got a huge announcment to make at 3PM Friday from the ICP seminar,” the band’s lead singers, “Violent J” and “2 Dope,” wrote on their Twitter account before the announcement. “Its probably the biggest announcment of our career. Yes we’re nervious” [sic].

They later announced a lawsuit against the FBI, according to The Village Voice, and a new campaign they’re calling “Juggalos Fight Back,” offering legal aid to ICP fans who feel they have been unfairly targeted in part due to their love of the clown-faced rockers.

“If you or someone you know have suffered any negative consequence with a governmental representative, including law enforcement, border patrol, airline security, or other local, state or federal governmental agency or employee as a result of your status as a Juggalo, we want to know about it,” the group’s website explains.

It’s not clear yet what ICP will demand in their lawsuit, or when it will be filed.
