The Daily Show host Jon Stewart on Monday night mocked the media for failing substantively cover Mitt Romney’s new running mate, Paul Ryan. He blasted the mainstream outlets for not having a real discussion about the issues, instead focusing on Ryan’s penchant for catching catfish with his bare hands or his enthusiasm for the p90x fitness program — even though pundits promised the election “just got serious” because of Ryan.

“It’s like a gypsy put a curse on you,” he said, imitating a gypsy witch. “Hello media, you will babble bullshit until a sad-eyed man from the north country is chosen by a Mormon. Good luck. You’ll never make it. And as part of your bullshit, you’ll be forced to retweet tweets!”
