The campaign to re-elect President Barack Obama has released a new ad responding to Republican presidential nominee Gov. Mitt Romney (R-MA)’s “birther” joke yesterday at an appearance in Michigan.
The short-but-memorable ad asked viewers if they were holding out hope that Romney has a vision for the middle class, then cut to his declaration that no-one in Michigan has ever asked to see his birth certificate.
“Embracing unfounded conspiracy theories, distracting from real issues. America doesn’t need a birther-in-chief,” said the narrator.
