Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney speaks at the Clinton Global Initiative meeting in New York City on Tuesday.

Former President Bill Clinton established the Clinton Global Initiative in 2005 with the objective to convene global leaders “to forge solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.” Attendees are typically philanthropists who make “Commitments to Action,” which aim to solve some problem through a combination of financing and innovation.
