U.S. consumer confidence rebounds in September

US consumer confidence rebounded sharply this month after a plunge in August, the Conference Board said Tuesday in its monthly survey release.

The board’s consumer confidence index hit its highest level since February, rising to 70.3 from 61.3 in August.
